Have a new idea?
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: As announced in this blog post, MilkSync is our task synchronization platform that allows RTM to talk to other software and devices. We're really excited that this is our very first Pro feature :)

| jdalvi says: What is the ETA for S60 Nokia phones ? Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: We're not able to announce timeframes for particular software/devices (sorry!), but we'll be developing future sync support based on the feedback we receive (Windows Mobile happened to be one of the most popular requests). If you'd like to see sync become available for your favourite software/device, please let us know what you use :) Posted 4 years ago |
| graham.reeds says: Slightly off-topic: When you visit a website on a phone does it leave the phone type in the header (I don't have a phone to test this with)? Posted 4 years ago |
| david.mcdanal says: This is what I have been looking for! Does it sync RTM with pocket outlook (like oggsync does with google calendar) or does it contain all tasks within the RTM app? Thanks Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: Ran, thanks :) We'll be looking at the possibility of providing some kind of trial for non-Pro users (it's a great idea).
Posted 4 years ago |
| matid says: I've just tested it on my Samsung i600 and it works flawlessly - thanks for a great tool, but I'd really appreciate some tweaks to RTM itself, like projects, even more.
Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: David, yes, it syncs with the 'Tasks' app that's in Windows Mobile (the MilkSync app purely does the syncing between the Tasks app and RTM). Hope this helps! Posted 4 years ago |
| david.mcdanal says: Perfect, thats exactly what I was looking for! There is no other good task app on the web that does this. Great reason for getting a pro account. Posted 4 years ago |
mzehrer says:Great work, finally I can connect my Outlook to my RTM world. Next thing Outllook Plugin ,-)? Posted 4 years ago |
| jeremy.joslin says: Ugh. I've used Windows Mobile for the last half decade. Now that I've recently turned over a new leaf and am purging my life of MS products (and just bought a Blackberry) this comes along.
Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: Jeremy, we'll be developing future sync support based on feedback that we receive (unfortunately Windows Mobile requests outweighed BlackBerry!). We've been hearing from some pretty passionate BlackBerry users though :) Posted 4 years ago |

| parf says: As far as I can understand photojen's informations, Milksync does not even support smart lists and tagging? what's the point then? While on my way, I need my actions list on my phone, and nothing else. Posted 4 years ago |
| parf says: rajjan: because I live in Italy, and mobile internet access is VERY expensive here. Posted 4 years ago |
| cginger says: Blackberry please! Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: MilkSync syncs with the Tasks application that comes with Windows Mobile, which unfortunately doesn't allow filtering by Smart Lists or tagging :(

| will.s.brown says: Add my vote for blackberry Posted 4 years ago |
| justin.baeder says: I'm glad to see a Pro feature. As an AT&T 8525 user, running one of the best (heh) WinMobile smartphones, I thought this would be great. Thanks for that.

| bzpilman says: People, MilkSync is but a door.
Posted 4 years ago |
| paul.sinclair says: I'll put in a vote for a Java App for mobiles. Something like the GMail app for mobiles, but it would need to store tasks offline. Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: Justin & bzpilman, I apologise for the confusion. I've reworked some of the text on the MilkSync page and added a bunch of info to the FAQ -- hopefully this will help to provide more information about how the sync application works (it also describes some of the limitations, as Windows Mobile Tasks and RTM don't support the exact same set of task properties). I'll continue to update this, and am happy to answer any specific questions that anyone has about its functionality.
Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: tclutterbuck, good point -- I've updated the page to reflect this. Posted 4 years ago |
| bzpilman says: Good info update =)

| dcefrance says: I just tried the Sync as I just moved from my Blackberry to a Windows Mobile 6 phone (HTC S710).
Posted 4 years ago |
| blackbelt says: Oh I agree, an RTM PDA app would be an NICE improvement, but we'd still like a choice to use that or the regular PDA task app. Imagine duplicating most (oh c'mon ALL) of the interface of RTM on a PDA including tags - SWEET!
Posted 4 years ago |
| bzpilman says: Outlook is even more important actually because many companies require their employees to use it. Posted 4 years ago |
| scotto says: I vote for Palm, but with no Microshaft Outlook in the way. Just synch between Palm Tasks and RTM. Posted 4 years ago |
| gonzie says: need blackberry!!! Posted 4 years ago |
| rolfessenden says: If you decided to sync to ListPro on WM, I would like that. It allows filtering, and could be set up to sync all the fields you have in the online version.
Posted 4 years ago |
| bruud says: Using Sony Ericsson P1i, so a symbian/uiq3 based milksync would be nice. Posted 4 years ago |
| mihai.anca says: I vote for S60 too (or at least a Java ME app). Posted 4 years ago |
| derek.schauland says: I think an RTM application for Palm OS would be a great idea. Initially syncing would have been cool, but access to smartlists via tabs or something would be way better
Posted 4 years ago |
| trinsec says: I'm so much wishing for this for the Windows Mobile 2003. I bet I'd be switched to this in an instant. It'd be much easier organizing my tasks, and to have an 'after 1 week' or so would be so much more worthwhile for me than the standard 'daily/weekly/whateverly' dates. Posted 4 years ago |
| gonzie says: what's the next platform to be supported?
Posted 4 years ago |
| whibs says: SyncML support would be fantastic (currently using a Nokia N73, possibly upgrading to N95 8GB soon).
Posted 4 years ago |
| sdether says: Installed MilkSync yesterday, and while I agree with the general sentiment that I'd rather have an RTM app than use the built in tasks, I wanted to give some feedback on sync:

| tmaw says: could you add WM 2003 SE in the list of PDA OS supported ?
Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: sdether, thanks for your feedback. MilkSync should be running in the background -- is it coming to the foreground, apart from when there's an error? Thanks! Posted 4 years ago |
| sdether says: Emily,

Posted 4 years ago |
| emily (Remember The Milk) says: sdether, would it be possible to check that you're closing MilkSync by going to 'Menu' then 'Exit'? Even if the MilkSync program is exited, it will still run the sync process in the background, but it should not pop up if there are any errors. Posted 4 years ago |
| sdether says: Emily, thanks for that info. I assumed that if i exited it was completely gone, so i kept hitting OK on the Milksync window. Posted 4 years ago |
| astryea says: S60 Please!!! I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing the pro account once Symbian is supported. I also wouldn't say no to an Outlook plugin or something for the office :) Posted 4 years ago |
| astryea says: Sorry for the double post, but I also agree with SyncML support to cover all the bases. Posted 4 years ago |
| razvanr says: what about a sync to iPod? possible? Posted 4 years ago |
| bzpilman says: Even though I don't have a mac nor do I plan to, I found this suggestion by ranbarton very valid. It seems like an obvious fitting to MilkSync (and an awesome one too!). Posted 4 years ago |
| ojcit says: I want it to work with my refrigerator, and take me out of the loop completely. Posted 4 years ago |
| jeffvand says: I have been reading forums for days trying different ways to get my blackberry to sync. I have a syncml client ready to go. I have outlook integration... but alas... I am left in the dark again.

| harryalverson says: Putting in my vote for Apple iCal - RTM todo syncing. Posted 4 years ago |
| kkaland says: I second the vote for ListPro synchronization. Before I saw MilkSync, I was actually thinking of writing a small app to grab my tasks off RTM and convert them to a ListPro list (so that I wouldn't lose them if I went on vacation and didn't have Internet access). But I will be content for now with putting in my vote for that :) Posted 4 years ago |
| panthar says: I'd love to see SyncML support. Many phones support this natively and there are plenty of SyncML clients to sync with other apps/devices that do not have SyncML support built in. Posted 3 years ago |
| jjpuxty says: Palm please. Need it bad......
Posted 3 years ago |
| jtburling says: Syncing with leopard ical and mail would be a killer feature. Posted 3 years ago |
| aaronhh says: It seems like it would be easier to develop separate RTM apps that run on WM and PalmOS and BlackBerry, than to go through the trouble of syncing RTM to a separate application which you have limited control over, and then you are stuck with the limitations of the app that you are syncing to. Sometimes it is easier to create a new wheel then to try to make one wheel work with a different kind of wheel. Not that I am suggesting that it is a good idea to try to re-invent the wheel. Posted 3 years ago |
| joshuawagner says: Blackberry, blackberry, blackberry would be sweet! Posted 3 years ago |

Posted 3 years ago |
| ronakshah2000 says: Old thread, but any solution to simply filter by smartlist on WM would be helpful. Even if you brought it across to the mobile device as a real "category" simply so I could bring just the important Lists (@Call, @Home, @Errands) when I'm not at a computer.

| mijlee says: I have a Nokia N78 which is another S60 phone in the N-Series. Would be great to have an app or sync ability for that phone too. Maybe I can do it via iCal on my Mac? Posted 3 years ago |
| idaniel says: SyncML support please, so that I can sync with my "dumb" Nokia 6300. I realise that increasing numbers of people are getting iPhones and smart phones, but there is still a big market out there for people who have "dumb" phones that they get "for free" with phone plans.

| jamexcel says: For the Nokia Internet Tablet N8x0 series... if we could get RTM to sync, and/or get RTM via Google Gears on the Internet Tablet, that would be fantastic! Posted 3 years ago |
| martintmlss says: From Palm WebOS news, I quit PalmOS, even Palm let this OS die. I just move to Nokia E71, so I vote for S60! Posted 3 years ago |
| jorgene says: One more vote for S60, and even more votes (2?) for SyncML! This is seriously on it's way to becoming a showstopper for me, using the otherwise great RTM.
