I have a list called "Stuff I want", and in that list there are mainly movies and CDs. What I do now is call movie tasks for example "movie: Postman Blues" and music tasks like "music: Neil Young" to keep them apart and know what is what. I could have one list for movies and one for music, but it wouldn't be that organized and tidy.

So my suggestion is to give users the opertunity to add color coded labels to their tasks, or maybe just plain text labels (like in Gmail) right after of the task name.

This would be sort of like tags (http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/ideas/110/). Maybe a setup that would let you have the current style of lists, but also the ability to organize tasks with tags/labels, would work.

This idea is considered similar to "Tagging", and all votes have been transferred to that idea.
