listed completed for history's sake?

I just set up a list to try it out. I "completed" a couple of tasks.

Do I understand correctly that once the task is completed, it falls out of the database forever? (yes, I know you get a chance to undo it, I mean after that)

If that is indeed the case, I would like these completed tasks to remain in the database. Perhaps you could have a view that shows crossed-off tasks on the list, and different view to show only completed tasks.

I suspect the tasks are deleted to keep the database to a reasonable size, but I certainly would like to keep this information, especially for the publically-shared lists.

I thought the same. To see the completed tasks, go to a list and make sure none of the tasks are selected and that the mouse is not over one of the tasks.

Then look at the list summary tab in the set of tabs to the right. There's a hyperlink at the bottom of that tab that says 5 completed (or however many you've done).

Click that, and you'll see all the tasks that you've completed. The hyperlink wil change to say 4 incomplete. So you're really switching modes.

If you click on another tab, you'll be back in 'incompleted' mode.

It's a little hidden, and this has been commented on in another forum note somewhere.
