I read some current forum threads mentioning difficulties with "ugly PayPal" when upgrading to Pro, and some other (now older) threads suggesting to offer alternative payment methods, especially Google Checkout. Details see:
RTM staff have commented several times in these threads that "we'd love to be able to support additional payment methods", but that at the time (i.e. some years ago from now) there were no true alternatives available, at least not in Australia.
Well, it seems that this situation has changed in the meantime:
==> "Merchants in Argentina*, ******Australia******, Austria, Belgium, Brazil*, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel*, Italy, Japan, Mexico*, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia*, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan*, United Kingdom, and the United States can also use Google Checkout to sell applications on Android Market."

So if these alternative payment methods evidently do exist, why should RTM not finally and "officially" offer them by default?
I post this as an idea so that other people can vote for it. Maybe this will help accelerating things a bit ... ;-)
