'Always use HTTPS' setting

spidey01 says:
I ran a forum search for https, and didn't see anything quite like this, so here's an idea...

Adding a "Always use https" setting like Google Mail has, would be a nice feature, especially since RTM already has HTTPS access available.

Not sure how it would have to be implemented, but I doubt it would be hard to do.

There is a Greasemonkey script which you can add to your browser that will have RTM open in https every time. You can find the script at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/10998.

I also vote for a account preference "always use https" I have to switch between Firefox or IE and on more than one computer. I need the peace of mind that RTM is validating my preference to always access my RTM data by https. [hint: Pro feature - It would get me to sign up] RTM is awesome, by the way.. Thanks!

Yes, this is important, but mainly because of services like the GMail gadget, browser add-on, and other API services. I just discovered that the GMail gadget seems to be using plain http. As for other services, who knows whether they use SSL or not. It would be very nice to flip a switch to ensure that all RTM communication is encrypted. In fact many other web sites should have this too. RTM could lead the pack along with GMail! ;-)
