Repeat After strangeness

If I add a task (without due date), set it to Repeat After 1 day and complete it then it is scheduled for the next day, but with a repeat interval "every day".

Is it a bug? I'd like to have a task which is alwyas repeated 1 day after I complete it. Why does the repeat interval change to "every day" which means something different?

If a previous completed task exists with the same name, but with "every day" interval, or something like that.

Yes, there is. "after 1 day" repeats only if you complete the task. "every day" always repeats, even if the task for the day before is not yet completed
