Iphone today list shows items from long time ago

'Today' in the iPhone version includes both tasks due today and overdue tasks (the overdue ones will have their due date displaying in orange).

If you'd like to view a list of only tasks due today in the iPhone version, you could maybe create a Smart List with the search criteria due:today
