setting task attributes via email

pkaeding says:
Hello

I am having trouble sending tasks via email, and assigning due dates, sending to specific lists, etc.

For example, I sent the following in the body of an email to my special address:

Due: friday
List: OO-Design

The task showed up in the inbox rather than my OO-Design list, with no due date. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Patrick

Can you please send an example exactly like you'd email in to [old address removed]? We'll check this out. Thanks!

Between

"Looking into this now :)"

and

"It works great now"

what happened? I've had the same problem. What was the resolution? Thanks.

BTW, big thanks for the effective, usable web-based app.

The problem was that if you emailed in something like this:

Due: Monday at 9am
List: Personal

---

This is a note.

instead of the supported format:

Due: Monday at 9am
List: Personal
---
This is a note.

(note the extra blank lines in the first one)

then the task would appear in the Inbox instead of being placed in the correct list. We fixed this last week so both examples now work.

If you've experienced a problem with email in recently, please let us know, as it may be a different issue.

Thanks!

Yes! I did experience the same problem today; despite having sent in the first format.

From work I use Outlook Express and from home I use Thunderbird.

I can forward you the email I sent to my RTM account today, if you want.

Thanks.
