has anyone used rtm for work related task - any privacy/proprietary issues?

Hi,

I was just wondering of other people's use of RTM for work related tasks. Most companies consider their information proprietary (regardless of whether it is or it isn't). If you have used RTM for work related tasks - can you share what made you feel it was ok to do so consider the potential proprietary nature of the info.

Thanks,

Could you essentially write it in code, perhaps?

Say that you're the product manager in charge of Microsoft Widget, the newest offering from Microsoft.

Well, that's Document #349A.

Schedule meeting with colleagues on document #349A.
Check to make stage 1 of document #349A is up to date.
Review on document #349A with VP.
etc.

Good point wcitypoe - names that don't mean anything except internally.

Thanks.

That's actually what I'm doing. I use RTM for personal, business AND personal business tasks. For my business tasks I use a code for each item.

So I guess I'm just supporting wcitypoe's post. :D

I guess its contextual encryption :-)

I still worry about RTM being sold (got burned by lots of services from 2000 dot com days) and keeping my data in a state that can be used elsewhere. From what I've read - total export to ical is possible which I suppose is a solution.
