Advanced search syntax?

I am familiar with the sample search options at http://www.rememberthemilk.com/help/answers/search/advanced.rtm but is there another area to find more advanced options like stringing different search variables together and using if/and/or operators in the search code?

The tips and tricks forum is a great resource, but I was hoping to find a basic tutorial somewhere.
