Can't add location by address

Maybe this a user problem on my end, but I am trying to set my locations, and if I enter an address, I get a green flag on the map, but no opportunity to name the location. If I click on the map, the green flag goes away. I can click to Add a Location, and then click on the map, but then I'm not on the exact spot the map recognizes as my address. How does this work!?
