ernal, which browser are you using?

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I just tried it with Maxthon, and it seemed to work okay. Does anyone else using Maxthon have this problem?

The only reason that I can think of for it not remembering is if you click the 'Logout' link... but unless you do that, it should automatically log you in when you return to www.rememberthemilk.com

I dont use logout. I pretty much always leave by closing the window.

Looks like I need to do some more testing :)

Which version of Maxthon are you using? And do you have any plugins/extensions installed?

Also, are you able to try it in IE?

The same bug can be reproduced with Firefox or Opera (latest version each).

1.) Go to http://www.rememberthemilk.com/
2.) Login and check the box to save settings
3.) Close browser
4.) Reopen browser
5.) Repeat 1.) and you'll see, that you're not logged in

If you do the steps 1.) to 4.) but go to http://www.rememberthemilk.com/home/username/ you are logged in.

This should be fixed, so that it works with the main domain (step 1.)) as well.

This appears to be an intermittent problem -- for some people, the automatic login always works; for others, it never works; and for yet another group of people, it sometimes works :) It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the browser being used.

If you go to http://www.rememberthemilk.com/ and reload the page with CTRL + F5, does it log you in?

For what it's worth, using FireFox 1.5 on XP and OSX, I find that RTM forgets me periodically.

Fortuneately, it always lets me back in.

We've made some changes in the past few days that hopefully should have fixed this.

Hmm, interesting. Today is the first day ever that it has remembered me. Hopefully you have sorted it out. I will see how it goes over the next few days and let you know. Thanks for that Emily

ernal, is this still with Maxthon?

I've been testing this extensively with Firefox and Internet Explorer without problems, but I'll install Maxthon again and see if I can reproduce this.

I am using Maxthon and I found this problem recently.

but it seems not happen every time so it is not easy to remove this bug.

But, if you logon from either of the links above and use http://rememberthemilk.com to go back, you will need to relogon again.
Tesed in both IE and Maxthon.

The login page still doesn't remember me. I use Firefox 1.6a1 (nightly) on Ubuntu Dapper Drake (up-to-date). It's probably cookie domain related problem, since accessing site with www.rememberthemilk.com instead of remeberthemilk.com logs me in automatically.

Thanks for the report. Logins will currently only be remembered if the site is accessed via www.rememberthemilk.com, but we'll fix this up so that it works without the www too.
