Recurring tasks question

When a recurring task is on it's due date the next instance appears before the current one is completed. Is this how it's supposted to be?

Yes, if the task is set to be due "every…". The next instance will appear at the day/time the current instance is due.

Since "after…" tasks only repeat when completed, the next instance only shows up when the current instance is completed.
