How do I edit a complete date?

nuboon2age says:
this note from 2007 expresses what I want to know, but there is no real answer. Please how do I do this?

Why can't I edit complete date?
shute says:

Emily and all,

A task was completed yesterday, but I haven't edit it in RTM until today, which often happens. Then the complete date is today, which is wrong and I can't edit it.

Searched former topic and it seems no way to solve this problem.

What could I do? do you have any plan to make completed tasks editable?

Thanks!

Shute

Hi nuboon2age,
Sorry, it's not possible to change the completed date to a date in the past. The only way to alter the completed date is to uncomplete the task and then re-complete it again, resetting the completed date to today.

If you haven't already, please vote for this suggestion in our Ideas forum as well.

Thanks for your feedback!

How about an option to show completed tasks by due date ?

Hi halexis,
Currently the "Completed" view is always sorted by completed date, sorry.

However, you are still able to use search operators to narrow in on a due date range. For example, try searching for something like this to find all completed tasks due in a certain date range:
status:completed AND dueAfter:12/1/12 AND dueBefore:12/7/12

Thanks for your feedback on this as well!
