What is the > symbol to the left of some tasks?

4pcoach Pro says:

I have recently noticed that some tasks now have the > symbol next to them, and I don't know what it means. I haven't been able to find any documentation as to what it signifies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This symbol is the keyboard cursor. It should be pointing to only one task at a time. You can move it up and down with the j and k keys, and you can select or deselect the current task with i. This lets you navigate your tasks with the keyboard alone!
