Notes not task specific?

Hi, I just started using the site today, so this could certainly be a user error. Either way, I'm confused.

Why, when I add a note to a task, does that note then appear whenever I look at any task in that list? For example, I created Task1 and added Note1 to that task. Then I created Task2 and added Note2 to that task. Now, when I click on the Notes tab for either Task, I see both notes - even though the Task tab for each says they have only one note.

What's the point of notes if you can't assign them to particular tasks?

FYI, I'm using Safari 1.3.1 on MacOSX 10.3.9.

I think that only appears if you only have one line in the note (which it interprets to be the title). But I agree with your implication, it's rather unnecessary.

Gee, I'm seeing that exact same behavior nearly two months later. Did you put the bug back in? If I hit the refresh button, the notes start appearing with their own tasks. But it's pretty confusing in the meantime to see the note from another task on a task I want to add it's own note to.
