carriage return issue in Entourage v.X

I use Entourage in Office v.X to receive RTM reminder emails. They come across without line breaks. In looking at a hex dump, it appears that only CR (0D) is used as an end of line character. Since the Mac OS X and Windows standard is CRLF, shouldn't that be used instead? (I'm quite open to learning that RTM actually DOES use CRLF and that somehow Entourage v.X is faulty here....)

Thanks. It may be an Entourage v.X quirk, since Entourage 2004 doesn't have that problem.
