tasks missing

i have sets of recurring tasks (most are daily, some are weekly, and some ar weekends) and they are missing. i have them printed off in the weekly view -- they exist. when I go into the "completed" view -- they are listed as every day or every weekday --- but they are not showing up in the task view tonight.
i logged out and relogged back in -- no success.
as an FYI -- and it should not matter, i have 2 users who use RTM -- obvioulsy 2 different emails and user accts, but one PC
it has taken hours to set these 2 users up -- and I am not keen on the idea of repeating them; especialy since they are duplicates of each other (one for one child and the other for the other child)
