Sharing a recurring task

I'm trying to share a recurring task with several contacts. The task recurs daily. If I share it with them it does show up on their lists, but if I mark it as complete for today in *my* task list, it proceeds to show up in *my* list for tomorrow (as it should; it's a daily recurring task) but it disappears from *their* lists entirely. It appears that the original task is properly shared, but not the recurrance of the original task. Is there a way to share the recurrance?

Update: now that I look at this again, when I mark a recurring task as "complete" it does NOT appear in my task list for the next day (nor in my shared contacts' task lists). Doesn't a repeating task repeat every day?
