Google Labs incompatibility with Gmail Firefox extension

varrus Pro says:

I notice that when I load the RTM for Gmail Firefox extension, it overlaps the right-side of my message list, and I can't see the number of posts in my inbox. I also note that there is a big warning that states that RTM for Gmail is not currently compatible with all Google Labs features. Does anyone know which one might be causing this rendering glitch? I'd happily turn it off, but I've tried turning off most of the ones I use and have had no luck fixing the issue.

You can temporarily disable all Labs features via the following link: http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 to see if that's even the culprit.

Also, any other extensions that affect Gmail? e.g. Greasemonkey, Stylish?

If that doesn't help, would it be possible to post a screenshot or to submit a Gmail issue report via our support system?

Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.

Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.

Thanks!

Ahh - it looks like it's the Multiple Inboxes item in Gmail Labs that causes the rendering issue. I am using it with multiple inboxes listed below rather than beside my main inbox.

On my computer, Google Gears was causing problems in gmail/rtm.

Right-side chat in labs was preventing RTM from showing up for me.

The Tasks tab in Gmail's settings randomly disappears. I disabled auto-suggest for calendar and contacts. Now, I'm not getting the periodic RTM errors where Firefox will freeze for 30+ seconds.
