Ticks every day in Gcal, even on days where there are no tasks. Why?

disorganised says:

The original thread that dealt with this issue was both locked and unanswered.
Why are ticks shown every day whether there are tasks due or not?

There should only be ticks when there are tasks due.

Because of this, people have no way of knowing when there are due tasks or not . It's simply not convenient to have to look in each and every day or bring up the agenda to check to see if i have tasks due or not.

Unless i find a way around this, it looks like i'll have to look elsewhere for a decent to-do list.

If you read further, you will see that this is a limitation imposed by Google. It is annoying, and there is no direct workaround.

Some live with it, and others stick with the older method of displaying actual tasks within Gcal, found here:

I haven't spent any time looking into this, and I probably won't, but I know they do something different for their "weather" calendar. Maybe that's just because they're only doing a set number of days...anyway, it would be nice if it were possible.

Yeah, it's dramatically counter intuitive. I'm trying to set up both methods to have my tasks displayed on the calendar and to be able to edit them from the same place. Not an easy task might I add.

Yes, I do both methods, because I use the mobile gCal interface ( https://www.google.com/calendar/m ) and the RTM All Tasks calendar won't show any tasks, but the individual list calendar method will.
