Connect Tasks from GMail pane not working

Hello All, the RTM pane I added to GMail works fine for finding contacts and integrates with the gmail when clicking a star. HOWEVER, if I type in the words "Call Joe before Halloween" and I have "Hallloween" on my primary Google Calendar it does not link up.
