Google Talk Reminders Not Working

I have all the settings correct and have included the rtm reminder email in my buddy list in Gmail.However, I am never reminded by google talk of any events.

I can confirm this...I am not reminded either. Plus, I am unable to send tasks in and have them appear in my account...pretty much, the talkbot ignores me and just sits there.
