Just curious: Currently you can click on "list:Inbox" to manually change it (i.e. it allows you to type in "list:anotherlistname" and it changes it).
I'm looking for a way to view just two or three lists (out of many) at a time. Is there a way to specify this by doing something along the lines of "list:Inbox;Home;Work"?
If so, that would be brilliant.

The advanced operator you want is List:.

Thanks, ranbarton. I can't seem to get the syntax correct for including multiple lists.
For example, according to this page (https://www.rememberthemilk.com/help/answers/search/advanced.rtm) I should be able to search for something like this:
list:Inbox AND list:Work
However, as soon as I add "AND list:Work" it shows no results. Is the 'AND' wrong or am I missing something obvious?
Thanks for your help.

says:I think OR is the operator you're going for there. See if that does the trick.
