Feature request: Star message creates task when viewing conversation

As far as I can tell, starring a message to create a task only works when in inbox view; if I'm actually reading the message and I star it, it doesn't create a task. Would it be possible to add this functionality? I'm mostly likely to star something when I'm reading the full message, as opposed to scanning the subjects in the inbox.
