Got a problem?
If you're experiencing an issue with RTM for Gmail, such as:
- Something suddenly stopped working
- Something isn't working as described on the site
- You received an error message
The best way to tell us is to submit a report (please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, try the troubleshooting steps if any are shown, and then submit your report).
You're still welcome to post your issue in this forum (as other RTM users may be able to help you find a solution), but we may request that you also submit a report to ensure that we have all the information that we need to investigate your issue.
It can be difficult for us to try to diagnose issues based on forum posts such as, "Feature X suddenly stopped working". Depending on the issue, we need different pieces of information to enable us to investigate (these might include your Gmail username, your browser version, and whether you have other extensions installed). The report form will request the appropriate information from you so that we'll immediately have the information we need to investigate.
Issues that we can't solve :(
If you're experiencing any of the following issues with RTM for Gmail:
- The entire tasks pane doesn't appear
- The tasks pane doesn't contain your tasks
- The 'create task' option doesn't appear
- It doesn't create tasks when you label emails
- It doesn't create tasks when you star emails
And you've tried all the troubleshooting steps listed without success, unfortunately it's more than likely that Google has released a new version of Gmail's code, and this code is incompatible with our current extension. Google sometimes release the new code to a small number of Gmail users first, before rolling it out to everyone, so your Gmail account may be one of the first affected by the change.
We're unable to fix this until we have access to the new version of Gmail's code, when we can update our extension to handle the changes and restore this functionality for your Gmail account. We apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime; unfortunately we don't have any control over Google's code changes. You can still help us by submitting a report to ensure that we're aware that Google has released new code to your Gmail account.
