I have the Remember the Milk For Gmail add-on, so I would input my tasks from there (not thru email).

Is this possible with add-on?

I'm looking for the same kind of ability to add tasks directly to a specific list (other than inbox) through the gmail add-on, but haven't been able to figure it out.

Another take on this is to move away from lists and adopt tagging. Then you use SmartLists as your lists, and you tag the tasks with the necessary tags at the time of creation, which I believe the add on permits. Since tagging was introduced, I have used a one-bucket list which I slice and parse via all sorts of smartlists - it's a very powerful solution.

Tags sound like a good way to organize your todos, but can you share tags? I'm interested in having one list of todos that are shared and one that is my own private list of action items. Not sure whether tags have the same level of security control that lists do...

I don't use tags as yet. Suggestion: update the GMail Task options to allow setting a default list, rather than Inbox. For example I have a list called "Personal" (that one of the standards? can't remember) and that's where I dump new RTMs by default.
