I think the new gmail extension for RTM is excellent, but I do have a question:
Since Gmail now provides a unique URL for each message, would it be possible to add that URL to tasks created through Gmail?
It is a bit frustrating to have to go to Gmail to access the actual emails referenced by particular tasks. It is fine if the task is simply to respond to an email, but I would like to tag some of them for action later (like review, etc.) and it would be good to not have to go to Gmail.

Agree! I previously wrote this up in Ideas: https://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/ideas/3497/

says:I'm going to have to agree with this request as well. It's great to have a link to the email while using the add-in, but if I am on a computer that does not have the add-in, therefore using the regular web interface for RTM, I have no reference back to the original email message.

says:+1 and I'm really surprised they didn't do this to begin with
further, I would like to see a new field in the task specifically for the "message" or "conversation" that it pertains to, in addition to the more generic "URL"
also, please make this feature compatible with other mail programs like Leopard Mail and Mailplane which have their own url handlers (not http). there's a bug right now that the URL is assumed to be HTTP (see new thread)

Agree: I suggested something similar in another thread - http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/3682/
