Gmail RTM pane gone

Hi guys....you guys are doing a great job out there....i've just started my free trial for the pro version and should be a pro in a couple weeks

current problem: i'm not able to see the RTM pane in Gmail in either Firefox or Chrome, the latter being my primary browser. is this a known issue? This has been the case for at least 3 days now. I don't know what version of gmail im using as I can't see the "Tasks" option in settings.

Please help
